CS3 has recently installed its latest technology enhancement within the Sheetmetal Division. The installation of the Orion, compact hybrid-style laser cutting machine will allow CS3 to leverage this new material handling and cutting technology with time saving operations to meet the demands that our Customers require. This new machinery, with its 10-shelf loading and storage tower will allow for many projects to be programmed and executed quickly and efficiently with a minimal amount of supervision. CS3 personnel have been trained with the latest in 2D and 3D dimensional software that will allow us to meet demands of BIM technology while using the direct “throughput” this new equipment offers.
Capacity Mild
Steel- 3⁄4”
Stainless steel- 1⁄2”
Aluminum- 1⁄4”
CS3 is also introducing our newest “press-brake” machine that allows for complicated bending processes with a single Operator for most projects. Again this new equipment will provide for a quicker production time while achieving the accuracy needed for precision
made production items.
The investment in new “state of the art” equipment, software and training shows that we at CS3 are moving forward to serve our Customers with the best our Industry has to offer.
CS3, Inc. was recently asked to build a platform that would go around an NMR machine in a local hospital. The platform had to be constructed of 100% non-ferrous metal, since the NMR machine was highly magnetized. CS3 Sheetmetal workers fabricated the platform per the specs using aluminum square tubing, aluminum round tubing, aluminum bar grating, and Stainless Steel anchors. In the pictures above you can see a mock-up of the platform hung in CS3’s fabrication shop.
CS3 Sheetmetal workers were asked to help a local facility with some projects with their conveyor system. In the pictures above, you will see a Chute fabricated out of black iron for the facility to slide boxes down to the conveyor below. Also, CS3 was asked to design and fabricate a “catch pan” to catch overflow packages off the conveyor. In the second picture, you will find a fabricated catch pan out of black iron, angle iron, and plexi-glass.
